It’s been a while
I think the last post I did talked about how we were going to get so much done this summer and how active we were going to be. Oy, I overestimated our ability to juggle responsibilities ;). We did work on a lot, but I also feel like development slowed quite a bit, perhaps because of everything else we had going.
We are in the painfully slow process of getting a company development account with Apple. We wait for weeks at a time for any kind of updates from them. It’s hard because we’re itching to see what we have done so far running on an iPhone.
We also setup some arrangements with Mobiroo, which is a really cool company by the way. If you own a business you should check them out, really clever stuff they’re doing and their staff are incredibly helpful.
Had talks with Amazon about Free App Of The Day, it really is interesting to me that they even say that they’ll pay 20% in their initial contract, considering everyone seems to be getting 0%. I completely understand however because 100k downloads @ 20% is a lot of money, especially if you’re doing it every day, but I wonder why the 20% is even in there in the first place, I feel they would get better reaction out of people if it was a lot lower or worded differently. They have been great though and so that’s been a really good experience.
Started working with Scoreloop integration, I’ll admit it’s sitting on the back burner for the time being though. Once I finish up a few other parts of the game that needed immediate attention I’m going to jump right back into it.
Sean and Zach salvaged an old Macbook of Sean’s(It’s in pretty bad shape haha) and started working on iOS development of Refraction. That started pretty slow, mainly because they had their Java goggles on, but once they got comfortable with Obj-C they started running with it. Hopefully we’ll get that developer account soon so we can spread the love :).
I am finishing up some work at my job right now, I didn’t want to leave mid-project, so I will be done with that this next Friday. After that all I will have to distract me is planning a wedding and a beautifully gorgeous woman ;). So Android Dev should pick up quite a bit again and you should start seeing some really positive updates and new content.
Well that’s all for today, I’m taking Juliana down to Carmel, Ca for the day, so I’ll talk to you guys soon :).
